Christmas has passed, but gift cards are the gift that keeps on giving! This year my lovely family financed a shopping trip and I picked up some cute stuff. My favorite thing I got was this beautiful green bag from Urban Outfitters.

From table settings to menus, Thanksgiving is the ultimate dinner party. And although the food is the main event, theres no reason why your table can't be as beautiful as that turkey!

Its school, its that awkward time between summer and fall, its... sad. So put your speakers on high and dance around in your room to these happy songs. Some (most) of them are up beat but there are some that just make you feel good. Enjoy!

DIY Lush Lip Scrub

Just bought an amazing new lip stick for fall? *I'm loving Revlon's black cherry* The shade might complement your outfit but what brings down your look is cracking and peeling lips. It makes lipstick application difficult and is a general mess. A great fix is a lip scrub and LUSH makes a great tasting one! But its $10 for a tiny little pot and thats a little steep even for the popcorn flavor. So here Im going to show you how to make an almost identical scrub with items you probably already have in your kitchen!

Some Summer Fun

I know that the last post was a photo post but I just wanted to share a few photos of the last week. As I mentioned I got to borrow a really nice camera and the following are a few special shots of my family on vacation. So this is pretty much a week-long photo diary. I hope you enjoy!

Island Day Dream

On vacation this week I was fortunate to come across some very beautiful and amazing models for a photo shoot. Photo shoots are my absolute favorite part about blogging and Im so glad that this one came about. Another amazing thing was that I was able to use a Canon Rebel Sl1 for the shoot, I hope you enjoy.

Okay, so this is the second post in my series, and it honestly should come after organizing (what will be Part 3) but right now my room is not the most organized and I'm awaiting a few ikea purchases that will help so here it is!

Because its summer, I've been traveling a lot with my family. Mostly these trips are about a week so we pack relatively light. Because of the limited packing space, my make-up bag just has the basics and includes some minis! In the summer I like to keep my look relatively simple as you get pretty sweaty and you want to be out doing things- not focusing on your make-up!

A Bulletin of Sorts

Dear Internet,

In all actuality, nobody actually follows this blog at the moment, but I feel like writing this letter to an unknown audience for the sake of authenticity. I abandoned this blog months ago because it didn't seem like something I wanted to do. But I've been really starting to miss putting together post and photo shoots and sharing my thoughts on fashion. So I decided to return to "Borderline Trendy." However, I'm adding some more features! I will now be posting not only about fashion but about make-up, television, traveling, DIY, my art, interior decorating and other "life-style" related topics. This incarnation is a clean slate but some of my favorite photo shoots will be archived separately. You can find them in the side-bar. I hope that this blog will become something much more interesting and fun as a result. Also, I'll post more!

I'm so excited for this new incarnation of Borderline Trendy.
